About Jaquet Droz
Pierre Jaquet-Droz (1721–1790) began his watchmaking in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1738 and became famous for his automata The Writer, The Draughtsman and The Musician. The name is associated today with designs such as the Grande Seconde and the Bird Repeater, and Jaquet Droz has been part of the Swatch Group since 2000.
