About this service

Independent Swiss watch repair in Deira Gold Souk, with a free initial inspection and approval before work begins.

Watch maintenance in Dubai begins with the watch’s reference, service history and current symptoms. At our Deira Gold Souk boutique, inspection helps distinguish routine servicing from a specific repair or further technical assessment.

A watch that has stopped, changed its timekeeping or developed a problem with the crown, crystal or bracelet needs an assessment suited to its condition. Nautilus repairs and services original Swiss watches at Shop 15, One Deira Mall, Deira Gold Souk. Tell us what has changed and when you first noticed it.

The initial inspection reviews the watch's general condition, visible mechanical condition, exterior metal and crystal. We then explain the recommended scope, estimated cost and expected timing. We prioritise repairing original components already in your watch; suitable original replacements are subject to the exact reference and availability.

Typical timing is confirmed after inspection. An initial inspection is always free and usually takes about 30 minutes. If accurate diagnosis requires opening the watch or disassembling components, we explain the separate paid technical assessment before proceeding. General service typically involves about one working day for the work followed by two days of evaluation and testing; polishing usually takes one to three working days. Fault complexity and original-part availability can extend these timings.

Nautilus provides a one-year warranty on workmanship it performs. The warranty does not cover customer misuse, accidental or personal damage, or a new technical fault unrelated to the original work. It covers our workmanship and is not an authenticity guarantee.

Nautilus has been in the watch repair market since 1960. Our real workshop and team photographs document the inspection-led craft behind every repair enquiry.

Common requests

Common issues we handle

Stopped or inconsistent timekeeping

Describe whether the watch has stopped completely or is gaining or losing time. Inspection helps establish whether servicing, a specific repair or further technical assessment is appropriate.

Crown, crystal or bracelet concerns

Share photographs of visible damage and explain any difficulty using the watch. We assess the affected area before discussing repair, adjustment or a suitable replacement component.

An inherited or long-stored watch

Bring any service records and explain what you want to preserve. We can discuss repair and restoration options with attention to the watch's existing components and condition.

Our process

How the boutique service works

Step 1

Describe your watch

Submit the brand, reference if known, symptoms and photographs. Include previous repairs and any deadline so we can prepare for inspection.

Step 2

Arrange the initial inspection

Bring the watch to the workshop. We explain any separate paid technical assessment needed before opening or disassembly proceeds.

Step 3

Review and approve the proposal

Discuss the recommended work, estimate, parts requirements and expected timing. Repair work proceeds after your approval.

Step 4

Collection and documented return

Condition at intake and return is documented. Collection and delivery can be arranged on request for a fee based on the requirement.

FAQs

Questions collectors ask

Why can you not confirm a repair price over WhatsApp?

Photographs can show exterior condition, but they cannot reliably show dried lubricant, corrosion, worn movement components, previous internal repairs or pressure integrity. Nautilus confirms the quotation after physical inspection so it reflects the actual fault, required parts and agreed scope rather than an optimistic remote estimate.

Does servicing reduce a luxury watch’s value?

Correct mechanical work can support usability, but unnecessary polishing or replacing original dials, hands, bezels and period components can reduce collector value. Tell the specialist that preservation matters and ask which components may be replaced before approving the work. Cosmetic work should be discussed separately from the mechanical service.

How often should a luxury watch be serviced?

There is no single interval that fits every movement and pattern of use. Changes in timekeeping, winding feel, power reserve, water resistance or behaviour after impact are reasons to arrange an inspection. A watch that is performing normally should be assessed on its condition and manufacturer guidance rather than opened only because a calendar date arrived.

What information should I send before visiting?

Send the brand, model, reference number, symptoms, when the problem began, any recent impact or water exposure, urgency and clear photographs if available. The reference number reduces ambiguity around the case, movement and possible parts, while physical inspection is still required for final findings, timing and price.

How long do inspection, servicing and polishing usually take?

The free initial inspection usually takes about 30 minutes. If opening or disassembly is required, a separate paid technical assessment is explained first. General service typically involves about one working day for the work plus two days of evaluation and testing. Polishing usually takes one to three working days. Exact timing depends on the fault and original-part availability and is confirmed after inspection.

Does Nautilus provide a warranty on repair work?

Yes. Nautilus provides a one-year warranty on workmanship it performs. It does not cover customer misuse, accidental or personal damage, or a new unrelated technical fault. The warranty covers our workmanship; it is not an authenticity guarantee.
